Popis programu
The objective of PhD study programme is the completion of a scientific education in the field of theory and history of Czech literature of 19th and 20th century in the relation to the culture abroad. Programme is realised in the cooperation with Czech Academy of Science, Institute of Czech Literature.
Informace o studiu
The basic requirement of study is to complete subjects focused on methodology of literary history and literary-scientific thinking of the 20th and 21st century. Great emphasis is placed on independent scientific work, which each student has to complete individually based on intensive contact with the teacher.The foundation of doctoral studies consists of writing PhD theses, i. e. scientific monograph on a particular theme. The graduate of the programme is qualified researcher and is prepared to operate in the scientific institutions and universities in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Profil absolventa
Naučíte se:- to be able to lead scientific projects,
- to cooperate on team scientific projects,
- to present scientific papers on conferences and in journals,
- to lecture at universities.
- a researcher at universities and in other scientific institutes in the Czech Republic and abroad,
- an editor in publishing houses or scientific journals.
Přijímací řízení
Requirements for the admission procedure:
- Master´s degree in Czech literature or a related study programme,
- research interest in Czech literature (the applicant submits the PhD dissertation proposal and a list of studied scientific literature),
- the applicant submits an overview of academic achievements (publicationts or Master´s thesis),
- knowledge of at least one world language at the level required by the Master´s degree studies.
The entrance exemination verifies the factual and methodological knowledge of the study field.
