The Intensive Czech Language Course for Foreigners was officially concluded at the Faculty of Arts on Monday, June 30, 2025. During the last class, students took a final test, after which they received a certificate of completion of the course.
The Czech language course for foreigners, in which the participants completed five months of intensive teaching (320 teaching hours), was ceremoniously concluded on June 30, 2025 in the afternoon. The course focused on acquiring and consolidating the participants' language skills at level A2, developing knowledge of grammar, pronunciation and improving communication skills. Thanks to the generous hourly extent, there was also time left for selected topics from the areas of Czech history, art or culture. The students were looked after by four lecturers, graduates of the Faculty of Arts of the University of South Bohemia, throughout the course.
As part of the closing session, the participants wrote a test from all lessons to verify their individual progress. Then they received certificates of completion of the language course at the Faculty of Arts of the University of South Bohemia. This was followed by informal entertainment, during which most of the participants expressed interest in continuing their studies in the follow-up course, which will open at the end of September this year and will this time aim to obtain the B1 language level.
Currently, interested parties can register in two language courses offered by the Faculty of Arts of the University of South Bohemia. These are the Intensive Course of Czech for Foreigners for Beginners and for Advanced.
- The course for beginners assumes a minimum preliminary knowledge of the Czech language at level A1, the goal is to bring students to A2.
- The course for advanced is intended to achieve and consolidate the language level B1, the expected entry level is A2.
Both courses will open on September 29, 2025, if capacity is reached. The duration of both courses is 5 months (320 teaching hours). Teaching will take place every Monday to Thursday from 4:20 p.m. to 7:35 p.m. on the campus of the University of South Bohemia.
The advantages, in addition to the large extent, are small groups of students, and therefore a more individual approach to each participant.
