ON VACATION
SHORT-TERM STUDY (UNTIL THE END OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022)
The offer is open to students of BA and MA philology programmes with a focus on English, French, Italian, German or Spanish. The students will be admitted on a rolling basis and will be integrated into existing classes in the summer semester of the academic year 2021/2022. In the following academic year 2022/2023, graduates of these placements will be able to continue their full-time studies in their respective degree programmes.

SHORT-TERM STUDY (UNTIL THE END OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022)

The short-term intensive Czech language course is intended primarily for university and secondary school students aged 16 and over, or for others who have been granted refugee status in connection with the armed conflict in Ukraine, without the need to prove previous education. The course is designed to provide a basic orientation to the language and will also take place during the summer months.

LONG-TERM STUDY (FROM THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023)
The long-term, two-semester intensive course in the Czech language aims to prepare Ukrainian applicants for study in the regular study programme at JU. Successful graduates of the course will receive a certificate of passing the Czech language exam. The course is intended for those who have been granted refugee status in connection with the armed conflict in Ukraine.

LONG-TERM STUDY (FROM THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023)
The Faculty of Arts of the JU will allow Ukrainian applicants who provide evidence of relevant prior education to enrol for full-time study in Bachelor's degree programmes in foreign language philology and in MA programmes in foreign language philology with a focus on English, French, Italian, German or Spanish.
Applicants will be admitted without an entrance examination.
The first year of study will be in the respective foreign language, and the obligation to take the exams in Czech will not arise until the second year of study.
The course is intended for those who have been granted refugee status in connection with the armed conflict in Ukraine.

Teaching in regular study programmes takes place in the Czech language for selected disciplines and in the relevant foreign language for selected disciplines (AJ, FJ, IJ, NJ, ŠJ). To successfully complete their studies, Ukrainian students must also successfully complete disciplines taught in the Czech language. However, due to their limited initial knowledge of Czech, these students will be allowed a one-year deferral of the disciplines taught in Czech in order to give them sufficient time to acquire the Czech language.
Registration will be open until 31 July 2022.
Classes will run according to the schedule for the academic year 2022/2023, from 29 September 2022 to 31 August 2023.
Capacity:
Tuition fees are not required.
Registration will be possible on the basis of the Dean's decision on the conditions of admission.
